Discussion about how to select large Outdoor Teak Table.

I understand that choosing a right sized outdoor Patio table is a challenge. You do not want a large gigantic teak table sitting in your backyard occupying the entire space, but at the same time you also want to accommodate all your family members and friends on the same table. As a landscape designer myself, I can suggest two ways to handle this situation.
First idea is that you purchase two rectangular tables and you use only one table in everyday life and store the other one in the storage. In a situation if you need to seat more people, just get the second table from storage and put it next to other table and you have one large table.
The other option is to buy an extension table. Just open the extensions when you want to expand the table.
I like the later idea, as buying one larger table is lot more cheaply than buying two smaller tables. There is no hassle of storing the table as when extensions are not used it can stay at your back yard of patio without occupying large part of it. A note here is that always get double extension table.
Prefer Double extension table over single extension Patio table: Outdoor teak tables are available as single extension as well as double extension table. It is easy to make single extension table as it need less craftsmanship and wood. The main problem with single extension table is that you have to have this table extended to accommodate umbrella. The umbrella hole is in the extension of single extension table, so it need to be open to have hole for umbrella. On the contrary, in case of double extension table the umbrella hole is in the main frame of the table. It does not matter if the table is extended or not you will always have umbrella hole to accommodate your umbrella. Secondly with double extension tables you have three option of sizes, one without any extensions, the second size is with one extension in place and the third size of the table is when both the extension are in place.

Importance of lower Moisture level of Teak furniture:
Ask question about Moisture level prior to construction: If someone ask me what is the most important step I would consider while making quality teak outdoor furniture. My answer without any second thought would be “Lowering the moisture level of Teak wood prior to making the furniture”. Natural woods shrinks or expands when the moisture level change from the core of the wood. Once the wood is dried properly, a good quality Grade A teak wood will have No affect of water. It is the first time it is dried that it can bend of crack.
The wood components need to cut before it can be kiln dried. Wood thicker than 18inches is almost impossible to dry. Components are pieces of wood to make parts of the furniture, for example an arm of chair or leg of a table. Components do not have specific shape but are just wood cuts, shape is given later. We reduce the moisture level of all components to between 8 to 12% in the kiln dry. Only after these components reach low moisture level, we start giving shapes to them. Dry wood pieces glue well, cut well, get smoother better and it makes much durable and quality product. 90 percentage of the furniture you buy will most likely dry the furniture after it is dry to cut the construction time. We spend tireless 4 months to make our furniture from start to finish. I will discuss more about this later.

MOTOR FREIGHT
All freights are delivered curb side unless special arrangements are made prior to shipping. Heavier and larger items are shipped though truck freight companies like Convey, RL freight, Oak Harbor fright lines. Freight is delivered during business hours Monday through Friday. Freight Company will call to schedule delivery and you can dictate the time they should bring the freight. All fright is shipped well packed on wooden pallets and shrink wrapped, so the chances of damage is very low. Still we ask you to inspect your freight and make a note of any damages on carrier's receipt. Contact us within 3 days if you find any concealed damages or shortages. GUARANTEE

RETURNS
If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, return the item for exchange or refund within 30 days from date of purchase. Please call for a return authorization number (returns cannot be accepted without this number). Upon return, pending inspection, refunds (less shipping costs) will be issued for merchandise received in “as new” condition. It is the owner’s responsibility to properly repackage and secure the merchandise to ensure safe return. Custom made cushions and pillows can not be returned unless it is defective or wrong size.
