A. Make sure you buy a table which is good size that can accommodate the number of people you want to seat on.
B. Most common teak outdoor table is extension table. Make sure you pick table with two extensions rather than just one extension. Double extension table has a stand alone wood that would hold an umbrella irrespective the table is extended or not. On the other side if you pick single extension table, there is no umbrella hole in the main frame of the table, rather it is in the extension. So you have to use the extension if umbrella is to be used. Also double extension table can be extended in three sizes compared to only two sizes in case of single extension table.
C. The thickness of the table top. Most common about 95% of them are of thickness 1.2inch thick, the other 5% are about 1.5inch thick. A thicker table is much more durable, built to last and gives much heavier look.
D. Make sure the table is made with tenon and mortise joinery rather than using screws and nails. This joinery is stronger compared to any other wood joining technique.

A good source of teak wood is from Indonesia and Burma as far as countries are concerned. I have seen Vietnam teak also but frankly I did not like the texture of this wood. 
Burmese teak is good quality teak but it is difficult to in an ethical way. Most of it is smuggled out with the help of Military government of Burma.
At the end teak wood that origins from Central Java is most desirable for outdoor furniture and marine use. With honey due color and well defined straight grain, this wood gives very smooth surface. This wood is high in demand and sometimes we have to wait more than 6 months to get hold of this timber through Indonesian government auction sources.

Unless stated all McGillTeak furniture is shipped in flat-box using different modes.

STANDARD GROUND PACKAGE
Individual items are shipped through FedEx or UPS ground services. Upgrade services available with additional charges.

MOTOR FREIGHT
All freights are delivered curb side unless special arrangements are made prior to shipping. Heavier and larger items are shipped though truck freight companies like Convey, RL freight, Oak Harbor fright lines. Freight is delivered during business hours Monday through Friday. Freight Company will call to schedule delivery and you can dictate the time they should bring the freight. All fright is shipped well packed on wooden pallets and shrink wrapped, so the chances of damage is very low. Still we ask you to inspect your freight and make a note of any damages on carrier's receipt. Contact us within 3 days if you find any concealed damages or shortages. RETURNS
If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, return the item for exchange or refund within 30 days from date of purchase. Please call for a return authorization number (returns cannot be accepted without this number). Upon return, pending inspection, refunds (less shipping costs) will be issued for merchandise received in “as new” condition. It is the owner’s responsibility to properly repackage and secure the merchandise to ensure safe return. Custom made cushions and pillows can not be returned unless it is defective or wrong size.
